In 2016, I co-founded a blowdry and beauty bar in Lake Charles, Louisiana. As we were establishing our brand, I remember wishing we had a larger network of clients to connect with. That’s when the idea of BeautyFindr came to me — a mobile app that would connect ready-to-book clients to beauty professionals.

I realized that BeautyFindr could not only help beauty professionals build their clientele, but could also be beneficial for clients looking for beauty services in their area, especially for those who had an urgent need. I experienced this myself before my maternity pictures, when two hours before the shoot, the salon cancelled my blowout and makeup services (due to the stylist being sick). I was super upset and stressed — it was a Saturday and I had very little time to find another stylist. Long story short, I found a stylist to do my hair, but was unable to find a makeup artist in time. If BeautyFindr had existed, with selecting the SOS feature, things would have turned out very differently.
